Who is Neem Karoli Baba.

Neem Karoli Baba was born in 1900 in Akbarpur village of Firozabad district of Uttar Pradesh. Baba was a Hindu guru and a great devotee of Lord Hanuman. His followers used to call him Maharaj-ji.

Early and family life.

A mother gave birth to a great saint in the year 1900 in Akbarpur village of Firozabad district of Uttar Pradesh. Whose little step is this she was not aware of? She named him Laxman Narayan Sharma. When he was 11 years old, his family arranged his marriage and he tied the knot.

He repeatedly tried to leave the household life but remained with his family because of family pressure. Neem Karoli Baba has two sons and a daughter.

Parents

His father’s name is Durga Prasad Sharma and his mother’s name is unknown. There is not much information available about his parents.

Wife:

Rambeti(wife): At the age of 11 years old he married a Brahmin girl named Rambeti. The couple has two sons and one daughter. After his marriage, he left his family life to become a sadhu.

Children:

Anek Singh: Anek Singh is the eldest son of the Neem Karoli Baba who lives in Bhopal with his family.

Dharam Narayan Sharma (Son): Dharam Narayan Sharma is the younger son of the Neem Karoli Baba who died at the age of 81 years. In April 2021 he died in the hospital of Faridabad due to illness. He worked as Ranger in Forest Department and after retirement, he used to stay in Kanchi Dham Ashram only. He has five daughters.

Girja Devi (Daughter): Girja Devi is the daughter of the Neem Karoli Baba. She lives in Agra.

How he named Neem Karoli Baba.

The real name of Baba Neem Karoli Maharaj is Pandit Lakshminarayan Sharma. It is said that when Pandit Lakshminarayan Sharma was performing meditation at Neem Karori village in Farrukhabad, he had a visible vision of Hanumanji. Since then Baba’s name became Neem Karoli Maharaj.

How he established Kainchi Dham.

At the age of 17 years, he attained spiritual knowledge. In 1961 he came to Uttrakhand and, along with his old friend Purnanand Ji he thought of building an Ashram there. In 1964 he established the ashram named Kainchi Dham in Kainchi, Uttrakhand. Kainchi is situated at a distance of 7 km from Nainital, Bhuwali.

This Dham is also known as Kainchi Mandir, Neem Karoli Dham, and Neem Karauli Ashram. Here you will find blankets at every shop because Baba Neem Karauli used to wear a blanket only. People used to offer these blankets to him in Kainchi.

Steve Jobs:

In 1974 Steve Jobs was 18 years old when he visited Kanchi Dham with his friend Dan Kotte for enlightenment. He was very eager to visit the Kanchi Dham to see the Neem Karoli wale baba in real.

When he visited there, he was disappointed after listening to the death news of Baba a year before his visit. He stayed in the Ashram for some days, and Steve Jobs felt some magic in his life. After visiting the Ashram, his vision of life got changed and he became so clear about his goals.

Mark Zuckerberg

In 2015 Mark Zuckerberg was going through a rough time. He was facing trouble with his Facebook. People wanted to buy Facebook because of its downfall. At that time, he visited his mentor, Steve Jobs. Steve Jobs suggested Mark Zuckerberg to visit Kainchi Dham, a place of Neem Karoli wale Baba if he really wanted to connect to the world.

A month later, in 2015, he visited the Kainchi Dham temple and felt miraculous changes in his life. He revealed all these things to Prime Minister Narendra Modi during an interview.

Neem Karoli Baba Death:

He fell into a coma due to diabetes, and on 11 September 1973, Neem Karoli wale Baba died at nearly 1:15 AM in the early morning at the hospital of Vrindavan. He chooses the Vrindavan to leave his body.
