It was revealed that her husband was an alcoholic who subjected her to abuse.

In 2004, she made the difficult decision to divorce her husband and returned to Mumbai with her four-year-old son, seeking a fresh start and a safer environment for her and her child.

He asked his grandfather where his mom was, and he said she was in Dubai for work. Later, he asked his grandmother, and she said his mother was in Ahmedabad. These different answers made him feel like something was really wrong.

His friends also stopped coming to play with him, and he felt very alone. Then, one day, he saw his mom’s news on TV, and that’s when he found out what had happened to her.  It was a really tough time for her.

In 2011, former journalist Jigna Vora was arrested for plotting the murder of crime reporter J.Dey with gangster Chhota Rajan. Later, she was granted bail after spending nine months in Byculla Jail as jailer 1139. In 2018, after eight years, a Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act court found her guilty of all her accusations in the murder of J.Dey and she got relief from all the blame.
